The NGO Network

Taking cue from the modern approach towards research and development, which suggests participation of the main stakeholders, including local communities, in the process of socio-economic analysis and development, the Center ensures that the research and the dissemination of information is well integrated with the communities. To achieve fullest community participation, the Center has developed an elaborate and extensive network of effective and efficient non-governmental organizations. Through this network, the Center involves the communities in the processes of field data collection on variety of issues. With this process not only variety of issues and problems and their causes are discussed at the community level but the solution is also sought from the communities through ‘participatory approach’ of research. The community based organizations and the non-governmental organizations, which are the members of the Center’s network, play the role of a bridge between the local communities and the Center. Even after the completion of research process on any of the issues, the Center considers it necessary to disseminate research findings and other related information with the communities through NGO Network, besides sharing the findings with other important stakeholders including the policy makers.
